The Murray Lake recreation area is located 5 kilometers north west of the Bottle Top Bridge on the Coquihalla highway. There are 2 camp sites at the south end of the lake and 10 at the north end. Additionally, there is a large meadow 300 meters north of the lake that can easily accommodate 50 RVs. If you like riding ATVs, dirt bikes or snowmobiles, there are 100 miles of logging roads in this area to explore. Posted June 2026.

Debbie, Gillis and Jacobson Lakes

If you prefer camping off the beaten path but still want a site you can drive to, you will like Nickel Plate Lake. It is a bit hard to find and the last kilometer of the road is pretty rough, but it is a beautiful spot. There are 3 campsites, 2 picnic tables and some firewood, but the rest of the site is very basic. It has a real 'wilderness' feel to it. Posted June 2026.

Debbie, Gillis and Jacobson Lakes

Debbie, Gillis and Jacobson Lakes

30 years ago Debbie Lake was a pristine and unspoiled wilderness but the area has since been logged and then was scarred by fire. Gillis Lake is a conventional provincial campsite 10 kilometers west of the Coquihalla highway near Kingsvale. Jacobson Lake has a wilderness feel to it largely because you are deep in the Cascades, 40 kilometers from the nearest town. Posted July 2026.
